Position Summary:

Our Boston based financial services firm is seeking a Business Analyst to overseeing the acquisition, analysis, strategy and dissemination of subject matter knowledge. Conducts high level business analysis involving complex business requirements and processes.  Analyzes current processes and recommends process improvements. Provides technical and business knowledge to clients.  Keeps abreast of technological and competitive developments. Conducts research on industry practices and standards and other benchmarking data. Develops position statements on complex subject matter questions.  Minimum Job Specs: Bachelors Degree in technology, finance, business or equivalent, 10+ years of related financial services experience, Extensive knowledge of business functions, seasoned in project management methodology, Excellent analytical skills, Very strong relationship management skills, Strong writing and presentation skills.

The Solutions team is looking for qualified individuals with strong experience in business analysis, workflow design, data analysis, system flows and test case writing in order to create client solutions and execute implementation of the industry’s first ever front-to-back client servicing platform.  The successful candidate must be skilled in analyzing complex business models and flows across front, middle, and back office operating models in both an insourced and outsourced model; requirements gathering; have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; understand global portfolio management, trading and compliance across asset classes along with the associated analytics.

Essential areas of Responsibility:
•This client facing role will be responsible for designing solutions and onboarding new clients onto a front-to-back platform • Good business knowledge on OTC derivatives (IRS, TRS, Cross currency swaps, CDX etc) and other Financial products, both in Front Office and Middle Office areas preferrable •Lead workflow analysis, data analysis, requirements analysis for current and future state models and architecture •Lead creation and delivery of internal and client facing on-boarding documents (client proposals, playbooks, resource and governance models, cost and revenue models) •Manage various stages of the transformation lifecycle (solution design, integration and testing, implementation and operational readiness).
•Become a product and platform SME on State Street’s Alpha platform •Provide regular status updates and supporting project management reports as directed 

Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree or above.  6+ years of financial industry experience in OTC Derivatives and Fixed Income products. 
• Strong understanding of Front Office and middle/back office systems, services and data domains. 
• Experience integrating with other industry software providers to promote platform interoperability (i.e. Bloomberg PORT, CRD, BRS Aladdin, SimCorp Dimension, Factset, Fidessa Minerva, Eze Software, etc.). 
• Experience in Data-Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Debugging using SQL.
• Experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies like Waterfall, Scrum-Waterfall Hybrid, Agile (Scrum, Test Driven Development, Kanban) in domains of Finance, Banking and IT •Strong interest in global capital markets and quantitative investments
•Strong analytical, reconcilement and organizational skills       
•Expert in MS Office including MS Visio, MS Project and PowerPoint •Ability to work in a fast-paced, globally structured and team-based environment, as well as independently •Experience in Agile Methodology and tools (i.e. JIRA, Rally, RTC) preferred •Experience in writing manual testing cases, planning and execution of the test cases.
